Master Smyer is one of the most professional and knowledgeable martial artists I have ever met. He is incredibly talented and a veritable encyclopedia of knowledge on self defense techniques and he is able to adapt his teaching style to fit everyone’s needs. I can’t say enough good things about him and his ability to turn anyone into a martial artist. I wholeheartedly recommend him and any school that is lucky enough to have him as a master.

Master Steve Smyer is an excellent, dedicated, and knowledgeable martial arts teacher. Back in the day, at Can Do Martial Arts, he taught myself and his other students exceptional skills and techniques including forms, sparring, weapons, board breaking, and more. Not only has he taught us all of these useful abilities, he also taught and implemented the 5 tenets of Tae Kwon Do: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, & Indomitable Spirit. These techniques and positive tenets are certainly useful in our everyday lives and motivate us to never give up.
