Parents love Ridgewood Public Library, with a 4.5-star rating from 96 reviews on Google. Highly rated for quality, safety, and great experiences for kids.
Ridgewood Library has a great deal of books. It has all (not all but majority) of the books I like to read. It is huge: literally! It has three floors, which is different than Hasbrouck Heights, Wood Ridge, and any small branch libraries in the BCCLS system. Comparingly speaking, it is more or less bigger than Montclair's library. As for the desk assistants, Erica, Tatiana, Susan, Amy, Justine, Elias etc, are amazing. They treat everyone kindly and with regard. Good thing about Ridgewood is the vast collection of books and dvds, as well as audiobooks. They have a so-called "library of things" whereby you are able to borrow anything miscellaneous, specifically phone chargers. You would need to pay for headphones, but they also have ones you can borrow (I think). I recommend this library for studying since there are some rooms in the mezzanine when studying, the second floor, and on the side of the circulation desk. However, bear in mind that this library is a hot spot for teenagers on the weekends. It's a lot of studying and stress during midterm and finals season, so if you would like to come here on the weekend, make sure you come here early. Parking is a bit limited, but when it's not busy, it's easy to come in and come out. Oh, and before I forget: children. There is a lot of children during the weekend. If you would like to study in peace, go upstairs. There are events and movie screenings every weekend and weekday nights here, and when they finish, the audience disperses themselves out or into the library. It can be a stressful experience, so wear headphones and be mindful.
I had a passport appointment at the library this morning - Mary was so friendly and the process was very easy, thank you so much!
Quiet nice place. The librarians were generous. I love the level and upper floors and the stairs it just feels like Bella‘s library in a way.
