I’ve visited this trail many times, but never in winter. I thought the fairy houses would be put away for the season, but they were still there. It was a very cold day, and it snowed throughout the entire hike, which added a magical touch to the experience. This is a great place to go with kids and if you’re looking for an easy trail.
This is a wonderful and well maintained fairy trail. There are easily a hundred fairies living here, if not more. I don't think you could spot them all even if you spent a whole afternoon here. The trail is short and flat through most of the way and there are ropes guiding you along the way. At one point, the trail splits into a short path back to the parking lot and a longer path that connects to other trails. Not difficult to walk, excellent hike for kids and teenagers. Parking lot was very busy on a Saturday afternoon, there were cars idling and waiting for spots. You are likely to have better luck at the train station parking lot, which is across the street and free on weekends.
